When it’s time to move, you just know it. Packing up and moving can be exhausting and time-consuming but it’s usually worth it when you get to your new home. What if you are taking your home with you? There are options available to you to make your move less stressful.

Know Your Size
Once you’ve made up your mind to move and you’ve decided to take your mobile home with you, you will want to check out at least three mobile home transport companies for quotes. The size of your home will affect the price as well as how many miles you will be moving. If you are moving a little single-wide mobile, the cost to you will be less than a double-wide or triple-wide. Also, moving from the West Coast to Florida will cost more than moving from Alabama to Florida or even from one location in Florida to another. Take your time looking for the best option for your budget.

Know the Cities
The drivers for the company you choose to move your home probably have preferred routes that they take based on traffic, road construction and average drive time. Orlando has a few dangerous intersections, but it is still fairly easy to drive through. The Florida Turnpike is one of the most dangerous roads in Florida due largely to the added congestion caused by popular vacation stops and the tourist who are visiting them. The I-95, too, is one of the most horrendous with an average of almost two accidents every mile. The major cause of this dangerous miles-long highway is because drivers have their minds on something other than the road. If you’re walking in Central Florida, beware! Pedestrians are not revered in that section of the state as statistics show.

Your transport company may be able to give you a map of the easier roadways on which to travel and attractions you will hit if you choose to visit some of the popular vacation spots along the way. You can request a copy of their itinerary so that you and your home will arrive at your destination at approximately the same day and time. They might also share a few of their tips with you.

Have Fun Along the Way
A new start is such an exciting time. Try not to let yourself get too stressed out about it. Take advantage of the sights and popular vacation spots along the way in sunny Florida. Even if you let your route dictate the adventures available to you, you will have plenty to choose from. Whether you want to check out Disney World or Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando or Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in St. Augustine, you can have the time of your life before starring the rest of your life.

Whatever your reason for relocating, be it retirement, job move of just for a change, it is quite possible to combine your move with making memories as you make the trip. By following these tips, you can make sure that your mobile home will be right there waiting for you when you arrive.
